IASP launches the 2026 Global Year of Neuropathic Pain
The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) has launched its 2026 Global Year campaign, which focuses on neuropathic pain. The programme of events and activities will seek to:
- increase awareness about the topic,
- broaden understanding of the impact it has on the people experiencing it,
- feature the progress being made in its prevention, diagnosis, and treatment,
- highlight efforts that deepen our understanding of it, and
- emphasise the need for continued, rigorous, trustworthy, and impactful research on it.
We are proud that several PAINSTORM members are involved in this initiative, including our patient partners Fiona Talkington and Jo Josh, as well as researchers Andrew Rice, Annina Schmid, Whitney Scott, and Andreas Themistocleous.
